Nicholas Seyfried, Ph.D.

Dr. Seyfried is a Professor in the Departments of Biochemistry and Neurology and member of the Emory Goizueta Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC). He also serves as Associate Director of the Emory Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (CND) and Co-Director of the Emory ADRC Biomarker Core. His group utilizes integrated proteomic approaches for basic and translational research discoveries in neurodegenerative diseases. He is principal investigator of the Accelerating Medicine Partnership for Alzheimer’s Disease (AMP-AD) grant at Emory, where his research team has developed network-based approaches to quantify specific classes of proteins that reflect early mechanisms and biomarkers of Alzheimer’s Disease and related neurodegenerative diseases.
