Taylor Bertucci, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral FellowNeural Stem Cell Institute (NY)

Cell Institute (NSCI). Her research goals focus on creating next generation human stem cell 3D models to discover molecular mechanisms and screen potential therapeutics to combat neurodegeneration. Dr. Bertucci trained with Dr. Guohao Dai, a pioneer in tissue bioprinting. After completing a PhD at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a postdoctoral fellowship at Northeastern University, Dr. Bertucci joined NSCI as a Research Scientist. Dr. Bertucci’s recent publication, "Direct Differentiate Human Pluripotent Stem Cells into Vascular Network with Mural Cells” was selected as a Featured Article at APL Bioengineering. Her new protocol for improved efficiency and reproducibility for cortical brain organoids is a key breakthrough. Dr. Bertucci is committed to serving the larger research community. She has led the sharing of iPSC lines and neural cells from Neuracell, NSCI’s non-profit stem cell core facility, to over 70 institutes worldwide.
