Selina Wray, Ph.D.

Professor of Molecular Neuroscience and Alzheimer’s Research UK Senior Research FellowUniversity College London

Selina Wray is a Professor of Molecular Neuroscience at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. Her research is focussed on understanding the earliest cellular changes in Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia using patient derived stem cells and organoids. In particular, Selina's work is interested in molecular heterogeneity in patient derived models and whether this can reflect clinical heterogeneity, working closely with clinical colleagues to investigate this. The ultimate goal of Selina's work is to develop a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms which will facilitate the development of new treatments.
