Martine Therrien, Ph.D.

Assistant ProfessorUniversity of California, Davis

Martine Therrien is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology and a member of the Center for Neuroscience at the University of California Davis. Her research aims to understand how genetics and environment impact microglia states and functions. After receiving her PhD at the University of Montreal in 2016, she moved to the Broad Institute to develop new stem cell tools to interrogate microglia. At the Center for Neuroscience, her group uses a combination of single-cell -omics and stem cell models to study how genetics and environment impact microglia states and functions in neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
