National Council

The National Council is The Jackson Laboratory’s most influential group of friends, supporters and advocates. The National Council works to expand the reach of The Jackson Laboratory, carrying the message of hope to current and future supporters.

The Council has three goals:

  • Educate members and the public about human disease and health.
  • Engage the members of the Council with our scientists and staff.
  • Empower the Laboratory through volunteer service and philanthropic support.

There are two forms of affiliation with The National Council.

  • All those who make gifts to the Laboratory are considered to be Supporters of The National Council.
  • Those who give most generously ($1,000 per year or more) and who provide service to the cause are granted membership in The National Council.
