Sara Patterson is the Associate Director of Clinical Genomics Informatics Products at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, overseeing the JAX Clinical Knowledgebase (JAX-CKB). Patterson contributes to interpretation of literature-based data related to genomic variants and targeted therapies in oncology, and curation of those data into CKB. She has an additional focus on structuring data in the JAX-CKB using controlled vocabularies and standard ontologies to enable ease of integration and retrieval. She received her Ph.D. in Biology from Wesleyan University. Following completion of her degree, Patterson completed several years of postdoctoral work examining the relationships between genetic variation and disease prior to joining The Jackson Laboratory.
