Cara Statz is a Senior Clinical Analyst in the Clinical Analytics and Curation group in Clinical Genomics at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. Statz contributes to interpretation of literature-based data related to genomic variants and targeted therapies in oncology and to curation of those data into the JAX Clinical Knowledgebase. Statz also assists with new and existing CKB marketing campaigns and projects and provides customer-based support for the CKB product offerings. She received her Ph.D. from UCONN in Genetics and Genomics. Upon completion of her degree and prior to joining JAX, she worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Hartford Hospital in CT in the Department of Cardiology, managing a translational research laboratory specializing in heart failure and was the coordinator for multiple clinical trials.
