For over 70 years, the Highseas estate has served as “home base” and residence for alumni, researchers and students attending year-round programs of research and discovery at JAX’s Bar Harbor campus, especially those in the Summer Student Program.
In honor of the SSP’s 100th anniversary and the thousands of alumni whose lives have been transformed by a summer at JAX, we’ve launched a renovation effort to ensure that Highseas remains a welcoming, comfortable and safe space for future generations.
