Mohammed's projects focus on high-throughput genomics data generated in the context of patient-based studies. One of the aims is to help gain better understanding of disease pathogenesis and identify molecular phenotypes associated with disease outcomes. He is passionate about developing tools and resources for the analysis, visualization, and functional interpretation of large-scale high throughput datasets. Additionally, Mohammed is exploring ways to harness large language models (LLMs) for candidate gene prioritization and selection as a biomarker for disease inception. He finds it exciting to design and implement innovative bioinformatics solutions that address complex research questions in novel and impactful ways.
