I am interested in cardiovascular disease development and correlating disease mechanisms between animal research models and humans. I aspire to follow the MD/Ph.D track for my graduate studies.
My research work and interest have focused solely on cardiovascular diseases and development. I have worked in the Rosenthal lab to develop a heart failure mouse model and investigate cardiac and skeletal muscle development postnatally in mice. I am an undergraduate student at the College of the Atlantic and hope to pursue my research interest further through my work at the Rosenthal lab and throughout my graduate studies. I plan to follow the MD/Ph.D. track and establish a career as a physician-scientist in the cardiothoracic surgery field and developmental biology research.
