Scientific Instrument Services

Scientific Instrument Services provide support to research labs and scientific services with in-house expertise in the areas of scientific equipment planning, evaluation, acquisition, installation, maintenance, and repair. We also have professional level design and fabrication capabilities that enable us to prototype mechanical devices and fixtures using a variety of 3D printing technologies and/or machining tools. Our team maintains the fleet of shared equipment and oversees shared equipment facilities on both the Farmington, Connecticut and Bar Harbor, Maine campuses. In addition, we are responsible for the laboratory glassware washing and sterilization functions on both campuses..
