Will has worked in the Flow Cytometry Service for 20 years, and his experience includes training research personnel, 25+ color panel design, data analysis, sample preparation, cell sorting, instrumentation troubleshooting and repair, and day-to-day support of the service. He provides cell sorting expertise to a broad range of users looking to isolate cells for cell culture, RNA extraction, protein isolation and more. Additionally, Will advises investigators in all aspects of flow cytometry to meet their research needs, including developing antibody panels tailored to fit their experimental needs, leveraging JAX’s in-house inventory of antibodies and matching researchers’ needs with the appropriate instrumentation. Over the nine years Will has led the Flow Cytometry Service, he has acquired state-of-the-art instrumentation and directed equipment upgrades. He works with faculty and research staff to provide training and assistance as new instruments are onboarded within the service.
