I earned my Ph.D. at North Carolina State University in the lab of Dr. David Aylor studying the complex genetic basis of hybrid male sterility in crosses between common mouse strains. During my postdoctoral research at Northwestern University in the lab of Dr. Erik Andersen, I performed high-throughput quantitative genetics studies in diverse strains of C. elegans, aimed towards identifying gene-by-environment interactions. At JAX, I leverage my experience in systems genetics in multiple model systems to build computational workflows allowing investigators identify the causes of complex traits in genetically diverse mouse populations, including Diversity Outbred (J:DO) mice.
